Back by popular demand, The Eureka Schools Foundation will hold its 2nd annual 5k race on Sunday, May 23rd, 2010! The race will start at 8:30 a.m. at Granite Bay High School and make its way around our beautiful Granite Bay community. Attracting local families and running enthusiasts from around the greater Sacramento area, this event will promote a healthy active lifestyle and provide another opportunity to raise much-needed funds for our schools.

Registration:

Online registration will be available again and early registration discounts will be offered. Registration will open in late March, please check back then!

Granite Bay High School (GBHS)
1 Grizzly Way
Granite Bay, CA 95746

Take Highway 80 north or south to Eureka Road exit. Take Eureka Road south for 3.3 miles. Stay straight to go on Wellington Way. The high school is .2 miles on the left.

Sunday Morning Event Schedule:

7:00—8:15 Same day registration and packet pick-up at Granite Bay High School

8:00 Pre-race warm up

8:30 5k Run/Walk begins

9:30 Kid Sprints begin on GBHS track

10:00 Awards Ceremony

Following the race please join us at our Race Expo area. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, play in our kid zone area or visit with our sponsors!

Course Information:

The 5k course begins and ends in the Granite Bay High School (GBHS) football stadium. The course is a mix of flat and hilly paved roads with a water and first-aid station at the half-way point.

Divisions:

Male & Female divisions for:
9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

Kid Sprints:

Children 10 and under are invited to participate in an untimed, mini-race held on the track in the GBHS stadium at 9:30 a.m.

5k Race Fees: (subject to change)

All entries include race t-shirt and goody bag. *Subject to availability for day-of-race registrations.

Adults (19 and older)	$25	$30*
Kids (18 and under)	$15	$20*
Kid Sprint with t-shirt	$10	$15*

Awards will be presented to:

1) Overall male/female winners.

2) Top three male and female 5k runners in each age category.

3) All kids participating in the Kid Sprint will receive a ribbon of participation.

Pre-race packet pick-up:

All registered runners can pick up their race packets on Friday, May 21 of Saturday, May 22 at a location to be announced at a later date.
